What better way to start a blog than with a wedding? Two weddings in fact. In India. My first trip to the subcontinent and I've already scored two wedding invites. Lucky I have access to my Indian mother-in-law's wardrobe with at least 50 saris in it! My only stipulation was that there had to be liberal amounts of pink. After parading around in a selection of gorgeous saris I settled on the one in the picture, plus another. I'm sure the whole time my long-suffering mother-in-law (to be- I should add) was imagining me in a red wedding sari instead!!
Wardrobe aside, there is still much to do before we depart. I am yet to even get my visa which is rather ironic given where I work!!
Back in the homeland my partner informs me that all stops have been pulled out in preparation for the arrival of the wedding party and the overseas guests. I am imagining a scene from the movie "Monsoon Wedding" with a flurry of repairs and redecorating underway before the big day.

But this fine blog isn't about Britney.... its about sari's, which are totally gorgeous and would look absolutely beautiful on such fine specimens that inhibit Wunderland.

Make sure they are chocolate dipped marigolds!
